Personal Statement
I am a determined runner and I can learn from my mistakes. I can be in a leadership role if need be and I am willing to try anything to become better at my sport. One thing that drives me to run is my competitive spirit because one of my favorite things about cross-country is passing people during a race. After each race I like to go over it in my head and see what I can improve upon. I want to study Elementary Education because I would like to become an elementary teacher. I am open to all the right college-cross-country opportunities.

- AwardsI have earned an award called "Scholar athlete" all three years I have run Cross-Country and for my one year running in track.
- ActivitiesFor the past 3 years I have volunteered serving in the children's department at my church . Every Wednesday night I've worked with our children's ministry called Awana. I worked in the games department. Every other month I served in the child care department for different groups on Sunday morning. Many times I am in charge of the 4 and 5 year old room. During the summer I either help or serve as a leader for Vacation Bible School. Recently I have become a Youth Group Leader for our Middle School. I have also participated in many mission trips. I have gone to places as close as Tennessee and as far away as Portugal. In high school I took a chance my freshman year and tried out for the school musical. I was part of the ensemble cast in Fiddler on the Roof. I was proud because only two freshman were cast that year. Throughout high school I have regularly been a babysitter for the women's Bible study group at church on Monday nights.
