I started hurdling when I was 10 years old and haven't stopped since. When I started running varsity as a seventh grader, I wrote yearly goals for myself and where I should be time wise and placing wise. Before my freshman year of track, I would set hurdles up in the gym after school and just being in the presence of hurdles made me anxious and ready to go. Months after practicing, season came and I felt more ready than anything. Sub Sections came and I placed first overall and went on to sections. As sections came I ran 100 m hurdles for the first time and ended up lacing fourth overall with that being my first time running 100's. I then qualified for 300m hurdles. Ever since then, running has been more important to me than anything. It's always been my dream to qualify for state and my ambition got me there. I hope to go on receiving a scholarship for track along with chasing my dream of becoming a nurse.
