Throughout my life, I have had a passion for competing and working with others to achieve my personal best in all activities in which I'm involved. As I begin to think about my next steps in life, I want to continue this passion at the collegiate level. I hope to find a college or university that will be a match, both in the classroom and on the field.
Sports have been a major part of my K-12 educational experience. I have been involved in gymnastics and track and field at the varsity level since the 7th grade. I have been taught how discipline and hard work can lead to success. I have not only experienced how to win and lose on the field and in the gym, but also in the classroom in terms of having to study for science tests and write papers in my English classes. I have made it to the state competition in gymnastics for the past four years and been successful placing in the top four multiple years. Now I am challenged with being a captain and learning how to lead others. Through gymnastics, I developed the ability and love of running hurdles and jumps in track and field. Throughout my track career, I have competed in the State track meet three times and have placed in the top four every year. In the classroom, I have been fortunate to take college in the schools courses where I am earning college credit. Through it all, I have to work hard. It hasn’t always been easy, but I have been blessed with additional opportunities and connections because I have persevered and challenged myself every year.
I look forward to exploring the possibilities of the future and in the meantime will continue to work hard in school and on improving my track and field records during my junior and senior years.
Thanks for taking the time to review and consider my profile.
