Bailey Baker '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Bailey Baker, I have just competed my junior year at Clopton High School in Clarksville, Missouri. I am wanting to further my career in discus a the collegiate level. I am involved in several team sports such as Track, Softball and Basketball.  I also am involved in several other extracurricular activities such as FCA, Youth Group, STUCO, Book club, FFA, and 4-H.The diversity of these programs have helped develop who I am over the years in the ring, into the classroom and my community. My high school track coach has very limited knowledge of any throwing events, so my parents have helped, other coaches from other schools have given some tips and I went to the Midwest Elite throwing camp last summer. I have taught myself by watching videos to see how I can improve, setup my own training and my parents built a throwing ring in the back yard so I would have somewhere to practice. Two years ago I placed 8th in the Class 1 Missouri State Championship and this year I placed 6th. This year I set the new school record with a PR of 126'1". Another thing that sets me apart from everyone else is that I work hard academically as well I currently have a 3.79 GPA with a weighted GPA of 3.82.
