I have been running since the summer after my 8th grade year and first had the opportunity to compete for my high school track team in my spring season of sophomore year in 2021. Due to the pandemic environment, I was unable to compete my freshman year, but kept up with running throughout my time in quarantine. Since then, I have put my all into my training and realized my potential running mid-distance. I aspire to compete at the collegiate level, and recognize the impact it could have on my future.
On and off the track, I am hard-working, coachable, and a leader. I uphold high standards for myself, leaning on my faith for guidance and support in everything I do. My actions are always grounded in a foundation of integrity and perseverance. I train year-round with my coaches, as well as participating in volleyball in the fall. I make my training a priority, but balance my time working, volunteering, and maintaining my GPA.
I have high aspirations for college in both academics and athletics. I want to continue to make my family proud, serving as a leader in the classroom and for my track team.
