The sport of Track and Field has been apart of my life since the young age of nine years old, and I realized it was a sport I would want to pursue when I qualified for the Hersey Track & Field nationals. My name is Gwenyth Dahlinger and this sport has been such a huge part of my life and is something that I am determined to pursue in my college years.
I have worked very hard and have excelled in the sport through out high school and have reached personal records that I continue to lower. I have constantly trained over the past four years in the 100 meter and 200 meter races and have qualified for meet of champions and ran a time of 26.43. My teammates have been a second family to me over the years and we all continue to push each other to be our best. Off the track I am in the top ten of my class with a GPA of 4.25, with aspirations to major in accounting. Accounting is a major where everything has to be precise, and that is why I have strived to be and do my best in my Track and Field career but also my academic career.
My determination has made myself very coachable and I hope to carry that determination to a university or college after I graduate from Pelham High School. I hope to attend a college where the academics push me to be my best, but where the Track and Field coaches and team also push me to be the best version of myself on and off the track.
