Georgia Hodgson '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Georgia Hodgson, and I am a junior at Portsmouth High School. I started Spring Track my Sophomore year (2021), Cross Country my Junior year (fall of 2021) and Winter Track my Junior year (2022). After competing in various races throughout the past year, I never knew how much I could fall in love with a sport. I had previously played field hockey for five years, but during quarantine my outlet became running. Throughout my first Cross Country season, I surprised myself by getting a 21:51 as a PR. The following indoor track season, I ran in the 1600m and got a PR of 6:11, then I participated in the 3200m and 800m this past spring and got a PR of 13:37 and 2:39. Track and Cross Country has given me the opportunity to persevere, grow, and find a community of athletes that I can truly connect with. I am eager to learn new things and meet new people as I go through the recruitment process.
