Albina Frangu '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Albina Frangu. At the moment I am a Junior  at Bloomfield High School in New Jersey. I would say when I was around 8 years old when I first picked up a soccer ball and knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. When I was 12 years old I began playing travel soccer with BSC (Bloomfield Soccer Club) program. As I grew older, at the age of 13 I tried out for the SFL Academy, where I was excepted into the team with a full scholarship.

All around my soccer career, I have mostly played as a defender, for my High School, travel, and academy team. In the topic of High School, I have been a starter for JV and been asked to play up for many Varsity games, my Freshman and Sophomore year. In my past Junior year I played for the Varsity team. As for my academy team I am 1 of the 2 captains for the 05 Fury girls, as well as a starter. When people ask me how I think of myself as a player, I find myself to be beneficial, devoted, reliable, and over all a great team player. 

As for my academic successes, my GPA is currently 3.859, at the end of my sophomore year. I am currently working hard to get into more honors classes my Senior year. So far I am only in Spanish 3 HPA, which is an introduction to college Spanish but I average an A+ in every single one of my other classes, along with my Spanish class. I was recently accepted into the World Language Honor Society. As for my upcoming Senior year I plan on joining many clubs that will benefit me academically.
