I began throwing during my freshmen spring season of high school and threw the shot put, discus, and javelin. Despite being robbed of one spring season due to COVID-19, I was able to improve my technique throughout the next year.
I am a very coachable person, as I take what my coaches tell me very seriously. During the throwing season, I dedicate class time to lift to become a stronger thrower. I strive to be the best teammate I can be by supporting my peers in and out of sports. I am one of the most optimistic and cheerful athletes out there.
Academics to me means continuously studying hard, maintaining a high GPA, and having a close relationship with my teachers. I push myself to take mostly AP and Honors classes while participating in multiple clubs. I am National Honor Society Vice President and Science National Honor Society Secretary; I take my leadership positions very seriously. Outside of school, I volunteer at youth programs and nonprofit stores.
I want to attend a university where I can challenge my academic and athletic abilities to exercise my body and mind. I want to ultimately be a part of a family and build amazing relationships with my peers and mentors whilst furthering my throwing career. I wish to make memories that last a lifetime.
