Personal Statement
Ever since my first day of track and field in sixth grade, I had wanted more. Every day in practice, I would push myself more than I did the last. Every meet, I wouldn't walk out satisfied until I had tied or beaten my PR. In everything I do, I can't stand to be just "average". I push myself along with the others around me to become better people and athletes each day. I live by the phrase "If you put your mind to it, you can do it". Once I was introduced into the competitive world of high school track, I've put my mind on continuing into college athletics. Within college track and field, I can thrive with other athletes and coaches who have the same passion that I do receiving education in the academic fields that I love at the same time.
