My name is Stephanie Weiner. I am 14 years old and beginning the 9th grade at the Central Islip Senior High School, Central Islip, NY. I have been a member of the High School Varsity Girls Track team for Central Islip High School since the 7th grade. I feel that I had a very productive first two years at the Varsity level and look forward to working hard to improve during the 2019-2020 school year.
I have been competing in track & field since I was 7 years old. I pride myself on being a sprinter and jumper; long & triple. I have twice competed at the Millrose Games and once at the Adidas Grand Prix; all three times I finished 2nd in the 55m and 100m respectively. I have earned my way to the USATF National Junior Olympics several times (indoor & outdoor) but due to travel expenses, I was only able to compete in 2013 and 2015. My greatest athletic achievements so far have been being named the 2017 USATF Long Island Youth Girls Field Athlete of the Year and finishing 1st Place in the Middle School Girls Long Jump at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor 2019.
Academically I am in Honors and am a member of the National Junior Honor Society. I currently have an overall average of 94. I aspire to be a teacher one day. As you can see, I am as dedicated to academics as I am to athletics.
I am looking to compete on the highest level of competition as I aspire to reach the Olympics one day. I am looking to attend a college that can bring out the best in me, both athletically and academically .
I look forward to hearing from you.
