Personal Statement
Joining the track team at my school my freshman year was one thing I always wanted to do.I knew that even though I didn’t look like some of the girls on the team I had faith in myself that I would be a good team player. While practicing Monday-Friday and some Saturdays during my freshman year I was able to bring home more than 10 individual medals. I was also able to be awarded Coaches Award for my indoor season and MVP for my outdoor season of freshman year.
Then came my Sophomore year and I started off on a rocky start. I had to adjust to a couple of things but then I started to get the hang of things mid-season. During these time it was ruff but I started to understand that others people advice is really helpful. I can’t just do something on my own without help in certain areas. So this year I was able to listen more to the people around me on my performance inside and outside the circle for my throwing events. I believe I’m a very good team player, I take advice/criticism really well, and my work-ethic is really good and this can help your team in the future. I know that it takes a lot of time, work and dedication to be able to be present on a team and I believe I’m a good person for that.
