2021 HighlightsEver since I was 12 years old, at my first competitive cross country meet, I have fallen in love with running. It's been an ongoing dream of mine to run cross country and track in college, and I am determined to make this dream come true. The aspect of structure, the sense of community that comes with being on a team, and the general love of the sport have kept me motivated to pursue being a collegiate-level student athlete.
I'm quick off the start, and always make sure to secure my position in a race right from the beginning. I have a powerful kick at the end of my races, which helps me pass my competitors and have an advantage when others are fatigued. Above all, I am determined and when I set a goal, I will stop at nothing to reach it. As a captain of my cross country and track team, I take pride in being encouraging to my teammates when they are competing and love nothing more than seeing my team succeed. I give more than 100% of my effort at all times, whether it be on the track, in the classroom, or as a recruiting candidate.
As for academics, I pursue it with just as much drive as athletics, and maintain a 4.0 GPA due to my hard work and studying. I am involved in my school's French Club, Peer Leaders, National Honors Society, and am an IB Diploma Candidate. My main goal as a student athlete is to find the college that is the best fit for me, regarding both academics and athletics. That being said, I would love to compete at the highest level possible and challenge myself, while finding a school that fits my high academic standards.
