I’m a highly disciplined, self-motivated distance runner that have aspirations to join a competitive, Division I Cross Country and Track team. On my high school team, I have been the top runner since 8th grade. This has forced me into a leadership position at an early age where I have risen to the challenge. Under my leadership, my high school team became NCISAA 2A XC State Champions three years in a row (2020-2022); twice the NCISAA 2A Track & Field Runner-up (2021-2022) and the 2023 NCISAA 2A Track and Field State Champions. My leadership style is a combination of encouragement for my team and leading by example.
It’s important to note that I do not have any other elite runners on my high school team at my level (outside of my coach), so I train alone. And, I know that joining an elite team of runners in college, that are better than I am, will push me to greater heights. I’m confident that when I join a Division I school team, I will not disappoint. I’m a highly coachable athlete and stay hungry for improvement.
Ultimately, my desire is to be a professional runner. I’m well aware that women peak in their mid- to late twenties, so I view my college running career as a stepping stone onto even greater things.
