Personal Statement

I will graduate from high school in 2026. I was a regional qualifier in the 300 meter hurdles in my freshman and sophomore seasons. Academically, I am a straight-A student who enjoys math and science, likely majoring in mathematics, chemistry, or chemical engineering in college. I was inducted into National Honor Society in Fall 2024.

I started running track in 7th grade and I love competing in hurdles and sprints. I am interested in running track in college. I would like to go to a school with great academics and a well rounded college experience. And since I have a love for dance, I'd ideally like to go to a school that offers a Dance minor. I am a performance dancer with experience in pointe ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, and hip hop.

Did not run in 300 hurdles race during the regular season while recovering from a foot injury suffered during the indoor season. In first 300 hurdles race since May 24, 2023, ran 48.65 to qualify for the conference championship final. Finished 5th in the final in a time of 48.74.

Finished 4th in the 300H district final (47.85) to qualify for regional meet. Ran a 16.16 PR in the 100H, finishing 5th in the district final. In the semifinals, advanced to district finals in 100H (16.64) and 300H (46.97). The 300H time was the 5th fastest girls time in the event in Coffman HS history.

Ran 16.66 in 100MH and 47.78 in 300MH in semifinals to qualify for the finals in both events. In the finals, ran 16.84 in 100MH to finish 4th and 47.21 in 300MH to finish 3rd. The 47.21 300MH time is a Coffman HS freshman record.

Competed in a middle school track invitational featuring top athletes from 32 middle schools in the Central Ohio area. Qualified for the finals in the 100 and 200 meter hurdles. Finished 6th in the finals for each event, running 17.38 in the 100H and 31.85 in the 200H. Also ran the lead leg for our school's 4x100 team, which finished 10th. In all, I ran 5 races (2 prelims, 2 finals, 1 relay).

200m hurdles champion, running a 31.73 (PR) to win the event. Ran a 17.71 in the 100m hurdles for a second-place finish. Also ran the starting leg of our 4x100 relay team, which won the event with a season-best 54.33.

Recovered from a disappointing run in the 100 hurdles (18.45) to run a strong starting leg for my 4x100 relay team, which took 4th place in a season FAT best 54.73. Concluded my events with a 2nd place finish in the 200m hurdles, finishing in 32.69 seconds, 0.3 behind the champion.

Ohio Middle School Indoor Championships
3/12/22 to 3/12/22
Participated in the inaugural Ohio Middle School State Indoor Championships hosted by the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches. Qualified for the 60mh final and ran a PR time of 10.86 in the final to finish in 5th place. Finished 9th in qualifying in the 60m dash (9.09 seconds) and narrowly missed qualifying for the final. Also ran the 200m dash and finished 7th in 30.22 seconds.
