Ever since 7th grade I have been in love with pole vault. It wasn’t until the winter of my sophomore year when I really started taking it seriously and started training in the winter. I was driving a little over two hours twice a week to get the training I needed. I was also lifting every morning before school to try to become stronger for pole vault so that I could compete well when the season rolled around. I am dedicated to the sport and my progression. I am coachable and love to learn more about the sport. Throughout the season I train as often as I can. Even when I’m training so often I still maintain a 3.97 GPA and have all my work done before it is due. Outside the classroom as well as in, I am very organized and like to do things efficiently. I love the challenge that pole vault gives me and the rewards when the hard work pays off. My dreams are big and my goal is to compete at the next level in college. I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
