Yani Naknakhone '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Yani Naknakhone, and I’m a senior and a team captain at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon. I specialize in the 100-meter hurdles and love competing in both hurdle and relay events. Last season, I ran the 100m and 300m hurdles, plus the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. My personal best in the 100m hurdles is 14.88 seconds, which earned me 6th place at the Oregon State Championships. This spring, my goal is to break 14 seconds and bring home a state title.

Outside of track, I’m just as focused on my academics. I have a 4.14 GPA, take college courses full-time, and rank in the top 3% of my class. I've participated in an apprenticeship program in architecture and I'm pursuing colleges that have a great architecture or marketing program.
