The highlight of my first track season would have to be getting invited to two middle school invitationals for multiple events. I was selected to go for 3 out of 4 of my events, 2 individual and one relay. For my 4 x 400m relay I anchored my team to a 10th place finish out of 18 teams. The other 2 events I was selected for were the 400m dash and long jump. I finished 1st in my 400m dash with a time of 1.06.4 sec. and placed 7th out 36 entries. In my long jump I was able to place 10th out of 40 entrees with a jump of 12’ 6”.
Looking ahead to my 8th grade season I have decided to continue with the 4x400m relay, 400m dash, and long jump. However, I am replacing the 800m run with the 200m dash. I have been working hard in the off season to improve in all my events and hopefully have a record setting season. I will be back with a new bio once I complete my 8th grade season.
