My name is Morgan Slebodnick. I attend Blacklick Valley School District located in Nanty Glo, PA and will graduate in 2022. My goal is to receive a quality education, majoring in digital imaging/ultrasonography, while continuing my hurdling career at the collegiate level. I am looking for a program that will help me grow both on and off the field. Being a four sport student–athlete, I understand the importance of time management, sacrifice, and dedication.
I began hurdling in 7th grade under Randy Wilson at Central Cambria, where I achieved many first place finishes and ribbons at local invitationals. I transferred to Blacklick Valley my freshman year. In my inaugural season, I recorded a PR of 17.0sec in the 100m hurdles, which also broke the high school record. During my junior season, I have broken my own school record several times while besting my personal record, ending with a time of 16.37sec in the 100mhurdles. My season accolades in the 100 meter hurdles include WestPAC Conference champion, 3rd place at 2021 PIAA District 6-AA meet and 12th place at 2021 PA State AA Championship meet held at Shippensburg University.
I am very determined in everything I do. I work hard and have a positive attitude. I respect my team and treat them like family. I also respect my coaches and their input. I am always open for suggestions and constructive criticism. I have approached all my athletic experiences as opportunities for growth and discovery, as well as team success. I look forward to speaking with you to discuss the possibility of being a part of your team.
