Personal Statement
Thank you for reviewing my profile. I live in the small town of Spearfish, South Dakota, and am fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in many sports such as softball, soccer, golf, swimming, basketball, dance, track and cross country. My goal is to earn a Spearfish High School White "S" Award which is given to elite senior athletes who participate in three sports for all four years of high school. It is very important to me to do the very best in everything I do, so I am continuously learning ways to improve, especially my sprint and hurdles events. I have been influenced by my parents, teammates and coaches and believe I am valuable to any team as a leader. I have served as a Captain of the Track Team and Competitive Dance Team. The past two summers I have trained as a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons to kids. It has been very rewarding to watch their success and know they are now much safer in the water. My strengths as part of a team are motivating teammates and having a positive attitude towards hard work. Being a busy athlete has taught me the value of organization and prioritization of my schoolwork and sports. The Health and Fitness fields interests me as a career.
