Tamaya Tutson '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello. My name is Tamaya Tutson. I am 17 years old and I attend Anna High School in Anna, TX. 

I started running track when I was in the 8^th grade. After my first meet that’s when I realized track is what I wanted to be committed to. When school track season was over, I looked into doing summer track and every year since then I’ve been training and running track year-round. I am coachable and I have been and willing to make necessary adjustments to improve. I love being fit and healthy, I work out 4 or 5 times a week, I’m disciplined, and competitive.  I run the 100m dash with a PR of 13.02, 200m dash with a PR of 26.19, and 4x4 relay (4^th leg) with a split PR of 57.8 Last year in District I was District 200m Champ, 100m Bronze Medalist and 4x4 Silver Medalist. Every year I’ve qualified for regionals, recently this year I qualified for the regionals meet in all my events. I fell just short of my goal of State, but I am determined to mark that goal off my list next year. I have been recognized every year at our school Athletic Banquets. My freshman year I was recognized for “Top Newcomer”, as well as my Sophomore and Junior year I was recognized for “Pack Pride”.  Just as I am committed to track, my academic achievements are just as important. My current GPA is 3.5. I keep an A and B report card. My goal once I graduate high school is to double major in entrepreneurship and dance. Dance is my love and someday I hope to own a business to teach dance to other people.
