My primary collegiate goal is to study pre-medical classes so that I may advance into medical school. To achieve my dream of becoming a skilled and caring physician I need to be accepted into a college that has recognized Biology, Biochemistry and Biophysics classes. Also, I must uphold a high GPA in all subjects including those outside my pre-medical educational track.
I would be a good candidate for a Track and Cross Country team because I am committed to running and I would be proud to represent my future college in both sports. My commitment is displayed through my race times and investment in the team. I have served as the Cross Country team captain since freshman year. As captain, I have led warm-ups and promoted team bonding by organizing group participation in Breast Cancer Awareness. In addition, I have supported my team by attending fundraising events. My dedication to running and the team has been commended by my current coach through a leadership award.
I believe I differ from other recruits because I am equally dedicated to both running and academics. Once I commit myself to a team or class, I strive to give to do my absolute best so that I may be successful. My dedication to school can be exemplified through my membership in the National Honor Society and high grades.
Lastly, my eagerness to grow in both running and academics sets also me apart from other recruits. When I find weakness I view it as a learning opportunity and I immediately seek out ways to improve.
