Since the age of 5, I have always been involved in sports. From my first sport (soccer to volleyball to basketball) my coaches, family and friends have noticed my running ability. Entering my Jr High years, I started in volleyball, basketball, and ran cross country and track. As those years came and gone, I really found a passion for running. I placed 1st in 4 out of 5 cross country meets. When track season came along, I placed 1st in 300M hurdles in two meets and also was a part of the 4x100 and 4x400 where we placed 1st in those relays as well. Our track season was cut short due to COVID-19 and left me determined to continue reaching new goals. I started reading articles and videos on running, especially hurdles, as my hopes is to one day garner a running scholarship in which ever sport (cross country or track) and /or event (hurdles, middle distance, etc...). As I enter my high school career, I am going to focus on cross country and track to keep myself fresh and injured free for when my sports come up.
As devoted I am to my sports, I understand I cannot achieve anything without my academics. I was in advanced classes through out my Jr High. I kept an "A" in all my classes, including perfect attendance. I have registered in Pre AP classes for my freshman year. The career path I am interested in learning is Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Physiology. In the classroom and on the track, I am very hardworking, self-motivated, and have a mature mindset. Whatever hardship I face ahead, I will overcome and strive to do better because the only real competition is me. My goal as an athlete is to always be passionate in any sport I do while pushing myself to my limit and never settling for less. All that I have and hope to accomplish is possible with God and my family by my side.
