Emily Wilbanks class of 2018,

It took me a long time to realize that running was the only sport for me. As a kid I played many different sports and they all didn't seem to feel right. Every time when the school mile came around I was always afraid of failure but when I ran it was the best feeling ever. This feeling of fear helped me push myself until the fear was gone. Running gave me more joy than any other sport ever could. I realized this was the only sport for me in 7th grade so I was going to give running my all. From there on out I have ran nearly every day.

When my old coach didn't come to practice I went out and still ran.
