When I make it to college, my main goal is to continue to stay true to my character and never cheat myself. In all the things I strive for, I never allow myself to cut corners or find a shortcut in order to make sure it's thoroughly completed and successful.
In everything I do, I never say a word of discouragement to myself or those around me. It's either words of encouragement or a question to better understand in order to best support my team and classmates.
I took 5 AP courses my junior year and am taking 4 this year, and I'm learning to manage the coursework alongside track practices, theatre rehearsals, volunteer work, and social events as every high schooler does. I make connections between the topics we go over in class to better understand myself and to really learn, rather than memorize.
My biggest hope when on my college search is to earn a good scholarship at an in-state college to limit debts and to kickstart a career once I graduate. I enjoy the mental strength it takes to be a student athlete and if I continue at the collegiate level, I will be sure not to disappoint.
