My name is Isabelle Van Voorst, and I'm a Sophomore Track athlete from Vergennes, Vermont. Being a part of Vergennes' small community and smaller school has given me the opportunity to make an impact on the environment around me, whether in track or school. I have learned from my leadership opportunities, including being an ambassador at HOBY, being an ANWSD Board Student Representative, and being Junior class Vice President, how to lead by example and apply my natural traits, such as positivity and motivation, to help build up the team. It was noticed and pointed out to me by my coach that my team's energy and success rise and fall with me, meaning I make an impact on the runners around me through both my work ethic and I hold two Vergennes school records, making me the fastest female in the 400 and 300 to ever go to Vergennes. As far as academics go, I have a 3.875 GPA and a near perfect habits of work score in most of my classes (I do my homework!). In recruiting me as an athlete, you're bringing support for teammates, a listening ear for both teammates and coaches, and motivation to your team.
