Are you in honor classes?

Yes. I have taken Honors level classes in the following: Biology, Chemistry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, French 3, French 2, and a Honors Concentration Program GPAC (Global Perspectives and Citizenship Program) which started in my sophomore year and will last throughout my senior year. In my junior year I will be taking Honors English.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. My school, The Potomac School, and a group of fellow Independent Schools do not offer the AP program, they are called Advanced classes. In Eighth Grade I took AP World History course at my previous school. At my current school I will be taking Advanced US History, Advanced AB Calculus, and other advanced classes that have yet to be determined.

Awards and Activities

AwardsThe National French Exam: Ranked 10th in the Nation in 2020, 7th in the nation in 2019, and 20th in the nation in 2022. Received PSAT 10 College Board Recognition Award for African American students who score in the top 10% of all test-takers in their state. Member of the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, which is a highly selective national program for academically gifted students. Admitted into competitive Phillips Exeter Academy summer program. My high school does not offer class rankings or academic achievement awards such as honor roll.
