Alexis Carter '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexis Carter, I am a senior at Eastside High School. I joined the track and field team in 10th grade because I was trying to get more in shape for basketball. Without knowing, I fell in love with shot put and since then my love for throwing has not faded. Last year, I hit a vital point in my throwing career, and threw a 38 '10.5 " at the region meet, and later ended up placing second at the state meet. It was then that I realized that I have what it takes to throw in college. I am very competitive, dedicated, and a perfectionist when it comes to myself and throwing. I have very high expectations for myself this year and am hoping to win the state meet.
