Heather "Nikki" Lyons '22 Recruiting Profile

I started throwing my first year of high school and absolutely loved it.  I love playing sports because it makes me feel empowered. Especially since I am a small woman I like proving people wrong about my strength. 

I am a three sport athlete, but I have found most success in Throwing.  (It's a family thing). Almost every season I have played since middle school I was voted the Most Inspirational and I have been elected Captain many times.  I have been competing since I was 5 years old, and my competitiveness has only grown.  

My competitive goals are to reach 120 ft in Javelin, beat the school record, and to beat my dad in Settlers of Catan again! I am a really hard worker and I am always looking for my next improvement. I’m hoping to continue to compete in college with my school while also balancing my education and college activities.
