At a young age I became a fighter due to negative comments of wanting to become a professional athlete. At my early years of education I developed self doubt. But up until 7th grade is when I put my full potential out on the field. I began training to start improving myself everyday by taking my coaches advice to heart and putting it into action. I've always known that I was a competitive person and took a challenge head on. At the start of 9th grade, it became operant that track/cross-country was more than just running and competing. It was an escape that made me feel alive. My commitment has shown in my high school career as I have been in varsity every single year. My determination as I have been willing to put in the work to improve and reach districts every year. I am looking to compete in state in the upcoming track season. Unfortunately it has been postponed due to Covid-19. But even then I have not given up on that aspiration and will continue to have that mentality and train daily to achieve that goal. Although I have been focused in my athletic ability, I also keep the same energy in school. I have kept a consistent Gpa over the years and I currently have a 3.85 gpa.
