Anika Jones '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Anika Jones and I’m a Senior at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, Washington. Although I have been playing sports all my life, I only started running track in 6th grade and quickly found my passion for long distance running during that season. I have been running on my high school varsity team for 4 years now and hope to continue running in college.

The 2022 track season was a difficult one for me. I suffered from problems with my iron levels and difficulties in maintaining a constructive mindset. Therefore, many of my best track times are from my sophomore year of high school. However, I am fully recovered and ready to bounce back for some PRs in my senior year. I just recently started off my cross country season with a 3-Mile time of 18:24.6, winning the Salt Creek Invitational in Port Angeles, WA and I hope for more victories to come!
