Personal Statement
I am trained to be a great swimmer. I started club swim since I was 9. When I joined my high school swim team, I was the varsity captain during my first year. However, an injury to my right shoulder prevents me from swimming anymore due to lack of mobility when trying to rotate my shoulder. A couple good friends of mine introduced me to an unknown sport called cross country. After training for a few months, I quickly realized that I have a knack for running. Becoming one of the faster girls within a few weeks of training, I continue to push myself to the top. I am quite loud and happy during both practice and meets. I am constantly cheering on my team mates as well as other runners. I strive to do my best athletically and academically. Ending my freshman year with a perfect 4.0 G.P.A, I was quite aware that it would not stay that way. At the end of my sophomore year, I ended with a 3.97 G.P.A. As I am entering my junior year, I will be in a program called Running Start, a program allowing me to take college classes while still being in high school. Working on getting an Associate Degree of Science in Biology along with my high school diploma at the same time is a challenge. However, I will still try my best to juggle my school work, my sports, and my extracurricular activities. I am quite involved with my school. To name a few clubs, I am in National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Ignite (Freshman Mentor Group), Asian Student Association, Theater Tech, and many more. I believe that I would be a great addition to any college because I am constantly involve with all aspects of school and a great student.
