I have been running since elementary school through the Girls on the Run program. After joining the cross-country team in sixth grade, our school allowed us to be a part of the track team beginning in seventh grade. The first day I stepped on the track I knew this was something I would be passionate about and have very much been so ever since that day.
I am able to balance schoolwork along with being a three-sport varsity athlete all four years of high school. I have taken multiple AP and Honors classes and will continue to have a few more this upcoming school year. I am always willing to take on a challenge, looking forward to the benefits and rewards, rather than the pain and difficulty in the moment. I am a very dedicated person, no matter what the task or workout requires. I give 100% effort every time, even though some may be harder than others, and I always will.
Unfortunately I battled a quad injury for more than half of this 2024 season, and therefore my stats weren’t as good as I would have liked to see. However, that makes me want to come back hungrier for more success and I will work harder than I ever have to achieve it. In addition, our track season is only 10-11 weeks long and I do not have a coach I attend for private training or lessons. With that being said, I believe my potential for next year, as well as beyond that is high and I can achieve it with my work ethic and dedication to this sport.
