Maya DeValk '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I'm Maya. A little information about me: I have played volleyball since 4th grade. I started out as a setter. I am now a six rotation OH/RS. I am very competitive and determined. I work very hard and always want to get better. I really enjoy working on a skill at practice and then using that skill to score a point for my team in a game. The thing I love most about volleyball is being able to compete and build connections with my teammates.

I attend The Altamont School, which is a small high school in Birmingham, Alabama that is focused on academics and the learning process. I am a member of the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society and served as a member of the Student-Athlete Leadership council. Academics and athletics are priorities for me and I think my experience at Altamont has taught me the time management and study habits necessary to be a successful student-athlete.
