Playing volleyball over the last 5 years has shaped who I am today, and has been a major aspect of my high school career. Being a 3 time team captain and playing in various positions on the court has helped me mature as a player and as a leader. I've been blessed to play for amazing programs, coming in 2nd in the NACA Fort Bluff National Tournament and in 5th and 9th at SRVA Regionals in ATL. I have always aspired to play at a higher level and continue to grow as an athlete and become more disciplined as a person. I feel that earning my spot on various teams has been something that has strengthened who I am mentally and physically, it's been a challenge that has allowed me to see my own weaknesses and work to strengthen those areas of my game. Overall, to me volleyball is much more than a sport, it is an outlet that allows opportunities to learn discipline, strength, clean competition, hard work, and determination. I have learned so much about myself through the constant balance of school and sports, and I hope that those two aspects of my life would remain consistent in in my college career as well. Because of what I have learned from volleyball and how I have implemented it in my own life and personal character I know that I have the capability to be an outstanding leader on your team too!
