Makayla Wardlaw '20 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Makayla Wardlaw, and I am a 5’10 Outside Hitter attending Park Crossing High School in Montgomery Alabama. With a graduation date of spring 2020, I am looking forward to earning a college degree and continuing playing volleyball at a collegiate level. I have been playing volleyball for 9 years, and there isn’t another sport I would rather be playing.

    I have been playing with the Play like Winners (PLW) Volleyball Club for the past 4 yrs. This club and numerous volleyball camps have shape me and provided me with the skills I have today. As a freshman, I had the opportunity to be the Setter on our school varsity team. Since then I have been the primary Setter while also being utilized as an Outside Hitter.

    On the volleyball court I come alive and push myself to continually learn and be a better player. I am coachable and willing to be challenged. As a student athlete, I understand that each person on the court plays a particular role, but that playing together as a team is what makes the difference between winning and losing.
