Avery Bates '20 Recruiting Profile

My goals and aspirations for my academic and athletic future are to make it into a good post secondary college/ university, and also to make the most out of my experience there. I know not everyone gets to experience life as a post secondary student athlete, and I am wanting to take full advantage of that opportunity if it presents itself.

I believe that I am a good candidate, because I am outgoing and always looking to put a smile on peoples faces. I always have been super competitive and I believe that shows in game play and in practice. I love being part of a team and accomplishing goals together.

I am different from other recruits because I always find a way to lighten the mood, in tight situations especially. I am also unique in my own way because I live in a small town with just over 600 people so I have been able to develop great personal skills when it comes to meeting new people. I go to a school that prides itself in great academic & athletic accomplishments. There are only 100 kids in the entire high school and teachers take the time to make sure we are all doing well and are performing to the best of our abilities.
