I am an athletic, quick setter from Arizona whose goal is to play collegiate volleyball and gain a college degree. People say my name "Hart" is perfect for me as I play with so much "heart" and I have an absolute passion for volleyball. My love for the game is evident in everything I do and I was recognized in Middle school as Volleyball Player of the Year for Arizona by C.A.A. and MVP. As a freshman I was the Varsity starting setter and noted as "the one to watch". My sophomore and junior year I was again the starting setter on Varsity and the captain. I was selected as State All-Section First team Division I, Section I, Setter of the Year by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (A.I.A) my sophomore year. Again as a junior I was selected by AIA as State Division I, Section I, Setter of the year All-section Second Team. The West Valley selected me as Region Setter of the year as well.
I have also been recognized each year by the A.I.A and Grand Canyon University as a Scholar-Athlete in both Women's Volleyball and Sand Volleyball. My high school team placed third in State Sand Volleyball Championship 2013. I have played all positions through my seven years of club experience but really felt at home as a setter for the past four years. This past club season I played for Finer Points 18's team (jersey #17) under coach Eric Hodgson. I was selected by my coaches and team mates as captain even though I was 15 years old. This season I am playing 18's Open with WTMVC, jersey #17.
I have played High Performance sand representing AZHP in Hermosa Beach and also selected HP A3 camp in Las Vegas. I am a Junior Official in Arizona which aids my level of knowledge. I am a team player and always give 100 plus% of my effort both on and off the court. I work very hard and I am dedicated to everything I do. I am constantly reflecting on my goals and plans and use the SMART goal process both with my athletics and academics.
My leadership and dedication are proven in many ways as my teachers selected me to represent our High School both at the City of Surprise Teen Summit the past two years, and at various athletic leadership workshops. My honors include induction into National Honor Society. Over the years I have volunteered and given back to my community in numerous ways which are listed on my academics page. I also traveled to England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland as an Ambassador with People to People for World Cultural Studies.
