Personal Statement
My dad always told me that I would be 6'2 and be a very good volleyball player. I started playing volleyball in 4th grade. One of the reasons I was interested in volleyball is that my dad loved the sport. My family, friends, and the pass of my father have influenced who I am today. Through playing volleyball I have learned that I am a team player and aspire to learn new things everyday that help the team. I have also learned that I am tall, strong, and very athletic. I throw shot put and discus for Jr. High and High school team, and both teams won conference. For high school I would like to maintain a 3.5 or above gpa, and graduate an honor grad to achieve academic excellence. My college academic goal is to get a bachelor's degree in biology or kinesiology in hopes of getting a post-grad degree in physical Therapy or sports medicine. The biggest obstacle I have had to overcome is the loss of my dad. He was the one who taught me volleyball, and he shared my love of volleyball. I am also on the college 2019 Phenom watchlist.
