I have goals that I plan to follow but as many know, plans change. I want to be that person everyone looks up to, even as an athletic and/or academic figure. I wish to continue school and become what I would like to be and be good at my career choice, but I also want to play volleyball and be good at that too. I believe that wherever I may choose to go, will show me what a good volleyball player is and who they are as a person. I feel that wherever I may go, will also help me experience greatness and help me achieve my goals and dreams.
I come from a small town of about 25,000 people and go to a school of about 200-300 people. The majority of the school is very athletic and do very well in school. There are two major sports at my school and they are basketball and volleyball in which I played both. I played every position during basketball season considering numbers were limited and I played as a setter during volleyball season. My school also only goes to grade 10, after that you have two towns to choose from to continue schooling; Fernie or Cranbrook. (As of the fall of 2018, I'll be going to Cranbrook to join Mount Baker Secondary School.) I have two highlights throughout my grade 10 year at Jaffray Elementary Junior Secondary School. One of them was going to Vancouver to participate in the 2017 Provincial Championships where we placed 4th overall, out of 32 teams. The best part was when we beat the number one team from last year in two sets. The realization that that was my last volleyball game as a Jaffray Rebel was a turning point because now I need to get myself out there and noticed by colleges and universities around North America.
