Personal Statement
My goal is to be a scholar athlete. Scholastically, I am a strong student. I have maintained a 3.8-4.0 GPA up to the second semester of my junior year and am currently enrolled in a college level class. In addition to my academic classes, I am a part of the FFA program, a national youth organization. My collegiate academic goal is to pursue a degree in pediatric occupational or physical therapy. Athletically, I have demonstrated tremendous growth from when I did not make the middle school team, to making the high school varsity volleyball team. In addition to my academic goal, my athletic goal is to play volleyball at a 4 year university.
Characteristics that define me from other players is that I am coachable, dedicated, a quick learner, innately athletic and a team player. As to being coachable, dedicated, a quick learner, and innately athletic, I have demonstrated a tremendous amount of growth in a relatively short period. Through playing club and high school volleyball year-round, I have gone from not making the middle school team to the high school varsity volleyball team. As a team player, I know that the strength of any team is defined by the collective whole rather than the individual player. As a teammate, I am a leader on and off the court and strive foremost to lead by example. As a teammate and a leader, I am decisive, dedicated, enthusiastic, unselfish, and loyal.
