Mya VanderPloeg '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Mya VanderPloeg. I have played volleyball for 7 years. I started off playing at my middle school and on a YMCA team. I later went onto high school where I played both high school and club. During my four years of high school I have cumulated multiple academic and athletic awards. I have been awarded Offensive Player of the Year from 2018-2021, Team Spirit from 2021-2022, Honor Roll (10th grade), and Principles Honor Roll (11th grade). I grew up with my mom, she was a single mom who took care of me all on her own. On some occasions money got tight however she never failed to do all she could for me. That has taught me to work hard for all I want and to never assume my dreams will just appear. I am happiest when I am on the court making people cheer and smile. I will work day in and day out to make my dream of playing in college come true.
