In college, I want to strive to maintain the grades I have right now. I want to be hard working not only in my academics, but also in athletics as well as an individual being. My aspirations are to play college volleyball, inspire others to be the best that they can be, and to bring happiness to others around me. My collegiate goal is to acquire a Master's Degree in biology.
I started playing volleyball with my twin sister since we were four years old. We would help shag balls for our sisters's middle school team. At the time, we didn't play club so we only bumped the ball to one another. However, as we got older, we started to develop more skills and enhanced our ability.
I found out that I was a leader during one of my club tournaments when my team was losing. We lacked energy and felt hopeless. I worked to encourage not only my teammates but also myself and this has made me a better person. In my freshman year, I received the Coach's Award during my volleyball season and was selected as 1 of 25 girls in my whole school to experience the annual USC Women's Leadership Conference. I was offered as one of the first freshman to help in a marketing video for my school and I took part in Captain's Council, an organization in which leaders from different teams at St. Lucy's collaborate to make the athletic administration much more fun. I was chosen for the said accomplishments because of my conduct and determination, my academic ability, and my ability to work well with others.
