I started playing volleyball when I was in 3rd grade so I have about 9 years of experience. When I first started out, I believed that every play I make is supposed to be perfect. I would get very upset at myself for not doing certain plays right or making little mistakes. It affected my game play mentally, and it resulted in the loss of playing time. The valuable lesson I learned that effected the way to how I play now is when I eventually realized it was about time to let go of that mentality and just go with the flow of the game. If I made a mistake, there's always the next point. Throughout my years of playing, I always strive to improve my ability, fix bad habits, and learn new skills. I love playing volleyball because I enjoy the thrill of winning a point, working with a group of girls with the same passion and motive as me, and the proud feeling to accomplish and recognize the growth in my playing.
I played on 2 club teams, Hawthorne Volleyball Club from 2011-2014 and Fierce Volleyball Club for 2015-2016. As of now, I'm not affiliated with any club. My main position is a setter but I am also a utility player, playing back row or front row.
