Ayden Joely Petroff '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello college coaches and recruiters. My name is Ayden Joely Petroff and I am in the class of 2026. I go to Lathrop High School in Lathrop, CA and I play for Delta Valley Volleyball Club. I have been playing club volleyball for 5 years and I have grown with multiple teams due to being a military kid which has made me resilient to constant change. In my first year playing my coach assigned me as a setter. It came natural to support and assist my teammates so I stayed in that position. Along my volleyball journey I picked up defensive specialist and continuously trained in right side hitter. As everyone can agree being a well-rounded player has its benefits for the team. Playing multiple positions has given me a deeper perspective and understanding for the game. I have learned to accept and appreciate challenge and to be flexible with my efforts. I have much passion and a lot more to learn as a human and a volleyball player which is why I strive to continue my volleyball career into college and develop my skills to a higher level. I am eager to try new positions and I welcome corrective criticism to help elevate myself as an athlete and team player. Overall volleyball has become part of my DNA and shaped me into the person I am now.
