Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Brooklyn. I started playing volleyball for my school in the 5th grade. I had the honor of being awarded MVP of my 8th grade team and MVP of my group during the Nike volleyball camp held by William Jessup University. I made the Varsity Volleyball team at my High School and I am continuing to improve my skills. I am thankful for my coaches and teammates. I have good leadership skills and I strive to encourage and help my team whenever I can. My goal is to play at the collegiate level and beyond. I have played all positions, but I love playing Libero/defense and Outside Hitter the most. I love to compete and I am always working to advance my skills. I hope that my hard work on the court, at practice and in the classroom will help me continue to play the sport I love.

Constantly checking spacing and court positioning to put herself in a great position to make the play. Communication - Great communicator; organizes and directs teammates well and communicates frequently. Physical Abilities - 95 / 100 Speed - Great speed overall, in particular with footwork to get into position. Will be an important asset going forward. Explosiveness - Great quickness and explosiveness, especially in the first step or two.
