I first started volleyball in seventh grade for fun with a few friends. I didn't initially plan to continue the sport, but after a few practices, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I fell in love with the game immediately. I started as an outside hitter, but to take advantage of my height I turned to being a middle hitter. I loved the feeling of getting a nice crisp kill and the sensation of getting a block. Since then, I've been working hard to be the best I can to support my team. Every time I step on the court, it's like a weight being lifted off my shoulders. Playing volleyball clears my mind and problems. I feel like my true self on the court. I feel free and at ease while playing.
I look forward to continuing volleyball throughout the rest of high school and college!
