My name is Saki Kishimoto and I am a 5'5" libero. I have had deep passion for playing college volleyball ever since I was in middle school because volleyball gives me the excitement and the energy to live everyday. To be completely honest, my life would be so different in a negative way without volleyball. I love volleyball because it allows me to get out of my comfort zone and proactively communicate with my teammates, and the best part is celebrating every point with my teammates, one point at a time until we finish with a victory. I have been awarded as the defensive player of the year for 3 years in a row from Freshman to Junior season. At home, I do core-training daily to maintain my physical strength. Outside of the court, I take all honors and AP classes and maintain GPA of 4.6 overall, and I am also in National Honors Society. I had an amazing opportunity to volunteer at CHLA last summer and I have passion for supporting kids in the hospital because they deserve to be happy and they teach me to live with appreciation everyday. I believe that my strongest character traits is dedication, because once I feel passionate for something, I keep moving forward, an example being my dedication to take almost 4 hours of transportation to get to CHLA and back home during summer. I believe great leaders know what it takes to succeed and have credibility from peers.
