Mercedes Lara '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Mercedes Lara, most people call me Mercy. I am currently a senior at Ripon Christian High School and will graduate in the year of 2022. I am currently ranked #2 in the state of California and #1 in my district for assists according to max preps and I have been playing club for 8 years as a starting setter and captain. I workout 2 times a day and have practices/privates 4-5 times per week. I currently play club at Pulse Volleyball Club 18-1. I am the starting setter, captain and all around player. I aspire to play volleyball in college while maintaining a GPA higher than a 3.5. I may only be 5'9 but I thrive in the front row with a high block and setter kill percentage. 

I love the sport and will always give 110% of my effort. I do well under pressure and in leading my team to victory. I am constantly working on making myself better including playing beach volleyball to help my indoor skill. I eat, sleep, and breathe volleyball and I wouldn't have it any other way.
