Lea Michaels '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lea Michaels, and I attend Rosamond High School. I am a senior and will  graduate in 2012. I have been playing competive volleyball for 6 years at both school and club level. My positions include outside hitter, right side hitter, middle blocker, and defensive specialist . My height is 5'10", reach is 7' 6", approach  jump is 9'4", jump is 15.5", and wing span is 5'10". My freshman year in high school, I played on the Freshman/Sophmore Team. I played middle blocker because of my experience and height. In 2008/2009 I joined Antelope Valley Volleyball Club. I was a starter and played middle blocker. My sophomore year in high school, I played on the Junior Varsity team. I was their starter and my postion was middle blocker.That year I started taking private lesson with Turhan Douglas. In 2009/2010, I joined Turhan Douglas's Revolution Volleyball Club. At 15,  I made it on his 18-1's team.  My junior year in high school, I also played outside hitter. In 2010/201 I played for Turhan Douglas's 16-1's volleyball club. I was a starter and played as an outside hitter. In 2011/2012, I began perfecting my kills, passing and defensive specialist. I currently play for LAVA, and I am a starter. I play all positions throughout the game.  I would like to attend a college that offers courses in Psychology and Education. My goals are to be on academic honor roll and play volleyball throughout my four years of college.
